Monday, March 29th, 2010Hi all,
First of all, you will not void your warranty this will only make your Samsung BD-P1600 even more useable.
- Make sure you don’t have a disc in the player, as this will not work if you do.
- Press the POWER button on the remote to turn on the player.
- Wait until the player has booted up and the manufacturer logo is shown.
- Press OPEN/CLOSE twice so that the player opens and closes the tray.
- As soon as “NO-DISC” is displayed on the top left corner of the screen, press REPEAT and directly after that press the following 5 digit number
- 5 7 5 3 8 (Region 2)
- If it work the region code for the player wil be shown in the top left corner of the screen.
- Press “9″, to make the player region free.
Then you should be set. Turn off the player and turn it on again and try playing a DVD with another region than the base region for the player.
If it didn’t work just give it a few more tries.
DISCLAMER: I’m not responsible for any DVD/blu-ray players damaged in the process.
